Our puppies that stay with us longer are receiving so much in canine socialization through our House Mama, Bianca. It's been so enlightening to witness, we have officially called it Puppy Charm School There is so much to learn from our dogs, my friends, and for our puppies, its incredibly enriching for them to have this time learning with a wonderful nurturing mommy dog while going through our Pup Start Curriculum.
Our Daily Schedule:

Our puppies stay right here with us under our watchful eye and our instructors come to us for lessons. The puppies are not sent to trainer's homes to ensure they are handled to our standards at all times.
We start out with a reliable consistent routine in Puppy Charm School. Feeding, potty schedule, sleeping, alone time, and outdoor recess, along with enrichment activities that are different each day. We take a very slow approach to crate acclimation to avoid any distress or fear, and we send the puppies home with this very valuable process for our puppy parents to continue.
Then its time for individual 1:1 Manners Class (aka training with the clicker and treats) - Montessori style. We've studied with the industry's lead minds in spearheading the holistic training movement- a compassionate and respectful method of 'training' our canine companions.
Life Skills Class happens daily, and the puppies learn from our older dogs, helping them learn boundaries, rules and limitations.
Weekly Field Trips, rides in the car, and safe visits to stores, visiting retirement homes, etc, where they get in all the enrichment they need. Always mindful of each pup's threshold, we never push them and always cheer them on to find their courage and inner strength.
Our Ethos
At Habibi Bears we are on a mission to change the way humans interact with dogs. Our focus is on honoring the dog's mind, body and spirit, while allowing them to BE a dog. We don't believe in COMMANDING or OBEDIENCE TRAINING the 'dog' out of the dog, as to us, this feels hierarchal and not respectful of the beautiful sentient being this canine companion is. So we use different terms, such as Life Skills, Manners & Respect. In return when we honor our puppies and their canine needs by allowing them opportunities to do doggy things that bring them joy, we find our dogs are just happier! Our dogs naturally WANT to do the things that make us happy, too! Smile! Laugh, and enjoy your beautiful dog as the individual they are.
instead of expecting unwavering obedience and using aversive techniques to get the results we want, we give our dogs choices, and advocate for them. We feel being in relationship with our dogs is a beautiful experience that can enrich us and heal our hearts.......and this respect gives them a reason to trust us, they WANT to be our partner in life. You will find this method will cultivate a relationship like no other.
These puppies are the head of the class and come with pre-scheduling and training, they are doing really well with potty training AND our new relationship based holistic training program for you to follow along at home!
